About our honey from Provence
A small human story told with simple words between two small pieces of wood generously filled with honey. Here we are, immersed in Frédérique and Phillip’s small store located in the little capital of the Alpilles, in Saint-Rémy de Provence. An address where the queen bee makes you discover her greatest artisanal creations.
Referred to for many centuries as an elixir of eternal life, honey is a natural delicacy produced by bees and the delicious nectar given by flowers when they are in bloom. This is the fascinating process of pollination. If it is much less caloric than sugar, honey is a sweet food with flourishing virtues. A true liquid gold purely enriched that Philip wishes to polish with commitment and ethics.
For Les Halles Provençales, our beekeepers have chosen to promote a selection of artisanal French honeys with true Provencal roots and fair prices. All Flowers, Lavender, Chestnut, Garrigue or Maquis illuminate the grocery shelf in reusable glass jars with buzzing accents.
Whether it is used to compensate for excessive sugar in pastries, or mixed daily with hot beverages (coffee, tea, infusions, herbal teas, etc.), or considered a fair complement to certain dishes, French honey is a gustatory resolution of choice. To your spoon !
